MGIMS is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is also centrally funded by the Government of India and managed by the Kasturba Health Society.
MGIMS is attached to the Kasturba Hospital, a 900+ bedded rural hospital, offering multispecialty services. The hospital serves more than 60,000 inpatients and 600,000 outpatients every year, ensuring excellent clinical exposure for students.
