Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier Ayurveda College (VPSVMC), Kottakkal, is one of India's oldest and most prestigious Ayurvedic medical institutions. Established in 1917 by the legendary physician Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier, the college has played a significant role in preserving and advancing the science of Ayurveda for more than a century. Originally founded as the Arya Vaidya Patasala in Kozhikode, the institution was shifted to Kottakkal in 1924 to provide students with extensive clinical exposure at the Arya Vaidya Sala Charitable Hospital.
