Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 3: Dates, Choice Filling & Admission Process

The Rajasthan NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counseling Board has published the schedule for the third round of the NEET UG Medical and Dental Counseling, 2026, for admission to MBBS and BDS, 2026, in Rajasthan.

As indicated in the notification dated 19.09.2026, the process for Round 3 will be of fresh registration, payment of processing fee, choice filling, publication of waiting list, seat allotment, and reporting to college.

Participants of Round 1 or Round 2 need to follow the rules for choice filling carefully because choices filled in earlier rounds will not be considered in Round 3.

Rajasthan NEET UG Round 3 2026: Important Dates

The dates above are taken from the Round 3 schedule issued by the Rajasthan NEET UG Medical & Dental Admission/Counselling Board.

Who Needs to Register for Rajasthan NEET Round 3?

Not every candidate who participated in earlier rounds needs to register again.

Candidates who are already registered do not need to register again. However, candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not complete Part 2 of the application can complete it during this round.

There is an important exception for candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but did not report or join the allotted seat. Such candidates must re-register, submit a fresh application, pay the applicable application fee and deposit the security amount again if they want to participate in Round 3.

The notification also states that candidates falling under Clause XI ("Other") of the eligibility criteria, including eligible non-domicile candidates from outside Rajasthan, are required to register as specified in the notification.

Application fee for fresh candidates

Fresh candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹2,500, plus applicable transaction charges.

For SC, ST and ST-STA candidates who are Rajasthan state domicile candidates, the application fee is ₹1,500, plus applicable transaction charges.

Candidates who are already registered do not have to pay the registration fee again.

Rajasthan NEET Round 3 Security Deposit 2026

Candidates participating in Round 3 must check whether a security deposit is applicable to the type of seat and course they wish to consider.

The notification specifies the following security amounts:

The security deposit is to be submitted between 24 September and 7 October 2026, with the deadline being 5:00 PM on 7 October 2026.

Do previous-round candidates need to pay the security deposit again?

Candidates who already deposited the applicable security amount in Round 1 or Round 2 generally do not have to deposit it again, except where the earlier security amount was forfeited because of non-joining in Round 2.

Candidates who did not deposit the applicable amount earlier, or who need to pay a difference based on their preferred seat/course/college category, must deposit the applicable amount for Round 3.

Candidates who did not report to their Round 2 allotted seat must re-register and deposit the security amount again to participate in Round 3.

Fresh Choice Filling Is Mandatory for Round 3

This is one of the most important points in the Rajasthan Round 3 notification.

Choices filled during Round 1 or Round 2 will not be considered for Round 3 allotment.

Candidates who want to participate in Round 3 must fill fresh choices, even if they had already submitted choices in an earlier round.

The choice-filling window is:

24 September 2026 to 7 October 2026

Choices will be automatically locked at:

11:45 PM on 7 October 2026.

Who needs to fill fresh choices?

The notification lists the following candidates:

1. Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 or Round 2.
2. Candidates with Joined status who want an upgrade.
3. Candidates who received a Round 1 seat and resigned without forfeiting the security amount within the specified deadline.
4. Newly registered candidates.
5. Re-registered candidates.
6. Candidates falling under Clause XI, "Other", subject to the applicable conditions.

Candidates who have a Joined status after Round 2 and want to retain their existing seat without upgrading do not need to fill choices for Round 3.

Real and Virtual Vacancies in Round 3

Candidates should not look only at the immediately visible vacant seats while preparing their choices.

The Rajasthan counselling board has explained that the projected seat matrix after Round 2 reflects real vacancies, but additional virtual vacancies can arise during the allotment process when candidates holding seats are upgraded.

Vacancies can also arise because of the exhaustion of NRI, PwBD/PwD or category-specific candidates and because of subsequent resignation in the MCC counselling process.

The notification therefore advises candidates to prepare their choices while considering both real and virtual vacancies.

It specifically states that candidates should fill choices according to the Round 1 seat matrix.

Rajasthan NEET UG Round 3 Result Date

The Rajasthan counselling authority has scheduled the Round 3 results as follows:

• Indicative allotment result: 9 October 2026
• Provisional allotment result: 10 October 2026

Candidates who receive an allotment can download their allotment letter online from 11 October to 15 October 2026.

Tuition Fee Payment for Round 3

Candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 must deposit the prescribed one-year tuition fee between:

11 October 2026 and 15 October 2026

The fee payment deadline is:

12:30 PM on 15 October 2026

Candidates should refer to the applicable college fee structure and the information bulletin for the exact fee applicable to their allotted seat. The Rajasthan notification also refers candidates to the relevant Supreme Court order concerning fees.

Reporting After Rajasthan Round 3 Allotment

Candidates allotted a seat must complete reporting and document submission at the designated college desk at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

The reporting period is:

11 October to 15 October 2026

Reporting hours are 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM from 11 to 15 October, with reporting on 15 October allowed only up to 2:00 PM.

Candidates are required to carry the documents specified in the information bulletin, including:

• All original documents
• Allotment letter
• Required bonds
• Two copies of the application form
• Two sets of photocopies of relevant documents
• Four copies of the allotment letter
• Fee receipt

Candidates should check the official information bulletin for the complete document requirements before reporting.

Important Rule for Candidates Allotted a Seat in Round 3

Candidates should carefully consider their choices before participating.

According to the notification, if a candidate is allotted a fresh or upgraded seat in Round 3 but does not join, the security amount will be forfeited and the candidate will not be eligible to participate in a further round.

The notification also states that candidates who have joined after Round 3 will not be allowed to participate in a further round.

Further, a candidate who joins a Round 3 seat, or retains a seat allotted in an earlier round during Round 3, cannot resign the course, including returning original documents, on or before the last admission date scheduled by MCC/NMC/DCI, subject to the applicable bond conditions.

Defence, Para-Military and NRI Candidates

Defence, Para-Military and NRI candidates listed for verification have to appear physically before the admission board for certificate verification.

The scheduled verification is:

5 October 2026

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur

The board will subsequently publish the relevant provisional merit lists after verification.

PwBD/PwD Candidates

Candidates participating as PwBD/PwD candidates must upload the Eligibility Certificate issued by an MCC-designated centre.

Participation under the PwBD/PwD category will be subject to online verification of the uploaded certificate.

Candidates must also carry the original eligibility certificate along with their other original documents when they report or join.

Can Candidates Edit Their Application?

Yes, the notification provides an opportunity for certain corrections.

Part 2 and partially Part 1 of the application form can be edited until final submission.

The final submission deadline is:

3 October 2026 at 10:00 PM

Fresh and already registered candidates can also request changes or corrections, including caste and additional category details, during the specified period by sending the required signed application and self-attested documents from their registered email ID to the support email mentioned by the counselling board.

Rajasthan NEET UG Round 3 2026: What Candidates Should Check

Before completing the Round 3 process, candidates should carefully check:

• Whether they need fresh registration or only need to complete the pending application section.
• Whether a fresh security deposit is applicable.
• Whether their earlier security deposit was forfeited.
• Their eligibility for the preferred course and seat type.
• The latest available seat matrix.
• Their Round 3 choices.
• The auto-locking time of 11:45 PM on 7 October.
• Allotment result and allotment letter.
• Tuition fee deadline.
• Reporting date and time.
• Original documents and required photocopies.

Most importantly, do not assume that your Round 1 or Round 2 choices will automatically remain active for Round 3. The notification clearly states that previous choices will not be considered and that candidates seeking allotment or upgradation must submit fresh choices.
