Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (UPUMS), Saifai, Etawah, formerly known as U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (UP RIMS&R), is a state government medical university established in 2016 by an Act of the Uttar Pradesh legislature. Initially started in 2005 as UP RIMS&R, it was upgraded to a State University under Act No. 15 of 2016.

UPUMS is listed under UGC Section 2(f) and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The university comprises five faculties: Medicine, Dental Sciences, Paramedical Sciences, Nursing, and Pharmacy. With a 1050-bedded hospital, a 150-bedded trauma & burn centre, and a 528-bedded super-speciality hospital, UPUMS is one of the largest and most advanced government medical universities in Uttar Pradesh.
