Zoram Medical College and Hospital (ZMC&H), formerly known as Mizoram Institute of Medical Education & Research (MIMER), is the first medical college in Mizoram, India. Established under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme 'Establishment of new medical colleges by upgrading district/referral hospitals,' ZMC&H aims to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of Mizoram and neighboring regions.
ZMC&H offers a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program affiliated with Mizoram University. The course is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), ensuring adherence to national standards in medical education. The college admits 100 students annually, with seat distribution as follows:
ZMC&H operates a 470-bed hospital with 38 ICU beds, providing tertiary care services to the population. The hospital is closely linked with the State Referral Hospital in Falkawn, serving as a teaching hospital for the medical college. The campus is semi-urban, situated approximately 16 km from Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram, and is accessible by road in about 41 minutes.

Allotment of Seats: Allotment of seats under Zoram Medical College & Hospital is done through the Medical Counselling Committee of India (MCC) for All India Quota and the Technical Wing, Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Mizoram for State Quota and NRI. Only students allotted seats by MCC and H&TE Department, Mizoram will be given admission to Zoram Medical College
