Government Medical College Thrissur, established in 1982, is one of Kerala’s premier institutions for medical education, healthcare, and research. Located in the serene environment of Mulagunnathukavu (M.G. Kavu), about 14 km from Thrissur city, the college is spread across more than 250 acres. The campus also houses the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) since 2009, strengthening its academic and research ecosystem.
Over the last four decades, GMC Thrissur has grown into a top center for undergraduate (MBBS), postgraduate (MD/MS), and super-specialty medical education, while also delivering healthcare services to patients across Thrissur and neighboring districts, including parts of Tamil Nadu.
