Government Medical College, Haridwar is one of the four new medical colleges established in Uttarakhand under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, with the aim of improving tertiary-level healthcare in the region. Located in the holy city of Haridwar, famously known as the “Gateway of God,” the college combines modern medical education with the serene backdrop of the river Ganga.

Spread across 75 acres, the campus includes a fully integrated medical college and hospital. This institution not only addresses healthcare needs but also focuses on quality medical education, training, and research, aiming to become a centre of excellence in the state.

Eligibility Criteria of Government Medical College, Haridwar

To get admission into the MBBS program at Government Medical College, Haridwar, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

Educational Qualification

Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

Minimum aggregate marks required:

General Category: 50% in PCB subjects
SC/ST/OBC Category: 40% in PCB subjects
PwD Category: 45% in PCB subjects

Entrance Exam
