Kurnool Medical College (KMC), Kurnool, established in 1956, is one of the oldest government medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and the third medical college to be set up in the state. Affiliated with Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), KMC has a rich legacy of 69+ years of excellence in medical education, clinical training, and healthcare service.

The college admits 250 MBBS students annually (intake increased in 2019) and offers a wide range of postgraduate (MD/MS) and super-specialty programs. Attached to the historic Government General Hospital, Kurnool (1,150 beds), KMC provides unmatched clinical exposure, drawing over 3,000 out-patients daily from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.

As part of the Naadu-Nedu modernization program, the Andhra Pradesh government allocated ₹720 crores for upgrading the hospital, aiming to make it the largest healthcare hub in the state. A state-level Cancer Institute in collaboration with the Tata Foundation is also operational within the campus.

Eligibility Criteria of Kurnool Medical College
