Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI) proudly established the first homegrown private medical college in North-East India under the name Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS). Approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) through letter No. NMC/UG/2020/000092/032984 dated 01-11-2021, the college began its journey in the academic session 2021–2022 with an annual MBBS intake of 150 students at HealthVillage, Langol, Imphal West, Manipur.
The institution was created with the mission to produce empathetic, research-oriented, and socially responsible medical professionals while also promoting affordable healthcare and medical value tourism in Manipur.
